Well, let's wait until somone receives one and tells us exactly what chip it is.
If it a new G4, then it may better address DDR RAM. That, and the larger L2 cache, would be worth $500 to me.
However, whether you'll utilize the power is dependent on what you do. Try going to an Apple store, and using their machines with the processor monitor open. Run what you would normally run each day.
If you don't peg out both processors, then you don't need more machine. I always have 20 apps and 25 binaries running on top of the OS, so my processor is usually pegged at all times. I have a full load of RAM, and still get pageouts.
For users who are doing office type work (web, mail, Office, etc.) the Dual 867 should be more than enough. For those working with audio, Photoshop, compilers, or running 24/7 services, the Dual Gig should be fine. If you want to do some rendering, run A LOT of services, are a video junkie, or just need to be the fastest, get the Dual 1.25.
But don't buy anything until we hear some more about what's in the 1.25...

yeah, they should have a return policy like the android market.
Technically you can't return a digital download so they would in effect be giving it to you free hence the lack of refunds.
It is the same reason retailers don't have to offer refunds on CDs, DVDs or Games (at least in the UK). You can quite easily buy the CD or whatever, rip it and then return it and get it for free.

What's everyone's favorite CMS and what kind of CMS do you have? Recently I've been taking web development more seriously and have been working primarily with Drupal. I really enjoy Wordpress though and find it much easier to teach a client how to use WP3 compared to D7. I've never tried Joomla, and have been seeing what all the fuss is about RoR a couple years late :p.
My next personal project is a niche community site, trying to decide what would be the best fit. I know another drupal developer who has much more experience, but we don't know if it'd be the ideal platform for what we want to create.

I've been adding articles of products announced at Macworld, but it seems it doesn't work for products with an apostrophe in their name. I added both iLife '06 and iWork '06, but neither of those pages show are world editable, regardless of whether I use "%27" or "'" in the links. Is this fixable arn?

Maybe, I've never gone to MacWorld even though I live in San Jose. Only hurdle for me would be taking a day off of work, although i've got plenty of vacation time. Not much of a drinker myself, and not too familiar with SF. Last time I went to meet-up with some people in SF, we ended up in a "massage" parlor. :eek::o:D

True but everyone has seen the trailers and comercials so they get what Sheppard looks like...
Sure, the default Sheppard. But, I didn't play as default, nor did any of my friends. And we all acted differently in the game, as well. Will the movie have Sheppard as more "Renegade" or "Paragon" in his/her actions? So many different ways that people could have done things, how do you specify which is "correct" for the movie storyline? What type of character will they be? What armor and weapons will they use? This isn't a Gears of War movie, where we have specific characters going through a specific, predetermined story, with premade cutscenes and dialogue.
Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy the world of Mass Effect. But, the reason I love it is SPECIFICALLY because I can personally interact with it, how ever I want. The minute you take all that away, you end up with just another sci-fi/action movie, loosely based on a game, that fails miserably. I don't want to see that happen to this game. Sadly, it seems it will.

Why not just make a website ? What you describe sounds like it would be more appropriate as a good old website that is device agnostic than a native app anyhow.
A lot of apps on the App Store right now are mostly things people could have just put up on the web.

Couldn't agree more. I don't see why you have to hate another network, is their competitor paying you off or what? If you like yours awesome, if you hate another wtf cares?
I think Verizon is great and has never let me down even when I have traveled into some pretty rural areas. I like to join in on the whole Verizon vs. AT&T battle just for fun. I can't believe people are so serious about it. Lighten up and use whatever works for you.

Just so you know there are no military applications that benefit from this.
The training programs the military uses for training would benefit from this, though I have not seen them in person because they are classified I am told they take up a massive amount of disk space and everything in the simulation is correct in terms of physics. Though these programs run on Linux and not Mac.

LCDs looks horrible when not ran at their native resolution. You will definitely want to run it at 2560x1600. If the text is too small, sit closer or make the fonts bigger.

This is the first time I've heard of such a thing...this is horrible
I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but can't they just demolish this house and rebuild a new one on the same plot? I know it'll be expensive...I am just asking :o
YEs, they could, but they can't afford the $61,000 clean up fee. They certainly won't be able to afford demolition and reconstruction. That would be at least twice the clean up fee, not to mention put the new mortgage way out of their price range.
If I were them, I would go after the relator and his/her company and previous owner. There should be a way to split up the cost of the clean up that is fair for everyone involved without the need to walk away from the house.

Last time I jailbrok was my 3G, Now I have an i4 with 4.3.2 and when they went untethered recently I jailbroke.
I havent used many themes long enough to be sure, so this might just be the theme I'm using. However with the Aquarium theme, and I suspect many others, every day I get several banner ads that pop up in the background, behind the icons.
What the heck is the deal with that? I don't need what should be a static background image pulling web content to serve me up ads.
Is this a thing the developer of the theme controls, is it a consequence of having the jailbreak, or something else?
More importantly how do I turn it off.
I searched the forum but could not find a thread that covered this.

It was originally 250 and it was one that was up for the 100 dollar rebate. When i ordered it the website said that it was on back order adn that it would probably take 6 weeks to get here, which did not bother me seeing as i did not need it right away.
I just called them and they said it was discontinued and that they no longer carried it. Meaning that i ordered a printer 5 weeks ago that in the end would never get here. I am peeved because when i ordered the printer it was not discontinued. And while there are some other printers availible they are not the ones that i want!! I want the one i ordered 5 weeks ago.
Apple should at least honor the orders that were mad for that printer before it was discontinued!!Seems to me that the reason the printer was originally on backorder was that it HAD been discontinued (by the manufacturer), but Apple didn't know that yet... all they knew was that they were out of stock and that the product was backordered for that reason. As soon as they found out that no more printers would be available, they e-mailed everyone who had the printer on backorder and let them (and you) know that it would not be available.
Tough break, but you can't expect Apple to conjure a printer for you out of thin air. Perhaps they will give you a comparable rebate on a similar printer, but they're under no obligation to.

Second the benefits and hands on training is incredible and they use you and train you so that you will be ready to work at 1 Infinity Loop or Maden, NC at the billion dollar facility. Plus they give you all the training in the world to be a teacher, educate another, work for other companies using Mac products and the list goes on and on. Yes they have an intense application process but once you're in with Apple you connections will never seise to grow. The atmosphere as well is fun, exciting and different than any other store.
